Smoky Ham Appetizer with Hot Pepper Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground ham
  • ½ pound freshly ground pork
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Spicy Beer Mustard
  • 1 cup Panko crumbs
  • cup Hot Pepper Jelly (Jalapeno)
  • cup Hot Pepper Jelly (for glaze)
  • 3 Tablespoons brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce (for glaze)
  • 1 Tablespoon Spicy Beer Mustard (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Preheat over to 350 Degrees.
    Melt jelly in your microwave, less than 1 minute. Measure 2/3 cup. Save remaining jelly for the glaze.
    In medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly with your hands.
    Also by hand, form slightly larger than walnut-size balls because they shrink in the baking process.
    Place Smokey Ham Appetizers on Baking Sheet
    Bake approximately 20 minutes or until meat thermometer measures 160 Degrees.
    While the appetizers are baking, combine the following ingredients:
    1/3 cup Jalapeno Jelly
    3 Tablespoons brown sugar
    2 Tablespoons soy sauce
    1 Tablespoon Spicy Beer Mustard
    Stir and heat to combine ingredients and dissolve the brown sugar. With care, use the micro-save or hear on a stove burner to a simmer.
    While the Smokey Ham Appetizers are hot, paint each with the glaze. Cool and cover tightly to refrigerate or freeze.
    Serve at room temperature or slightly warm.
