Description
An all-natural beeswax pillar on a hand-crafted oak stand adds warmth and charm to your home. The golden beeswax is made by bees and burns bright with no drip and no soot. Includes wood base/candle holder as shown.
The smell of the melting beeswax adds a gentle ambiance to any room and a subtle honey perfume. The burning candles do not stimulate allergic reactions and are all-natural.
The bees make the wax, and this unique substance cannot be replicated with chemicals. Bees build the structures in their hive with beeswax. The bees store honey in the hexagons, and the queen lays eggs (one in each hexagon), and she lays thousands of eggs. The larvae hatch in the hexagons. Beeswax caps the hexagons that are filled with honey to preserve the honey over time. When beekeepers extract the honey, they scrape the beeswax toppings from the frame of honey, melt and clean the wax and pour it into 40 lb. molds.
Beeswax commercially use includes cosmetics, medicines and candles.
Tom Lanaham, a Nebraska wood crafter designed and shaped the polished oak stand. The wood is parted from fallen 50 to 60-year-old black oak and burr oak trees, then air dried for several years then sliced into slabs and kiln dried. Each piece is unique in coloration. Knots and worm holes add interest and appeal.
The oak candle stand is approximately 7x 6 x1 ½ inches although the nature, coloration and size of each stand differs slightly due to unique cut of the wood. The candle is 4 inches wide and 3 ½ inches high. The candle stand features an inset. The beeswax pillar fits securely into the inset.
